"Serpentine Traces" takes the listener on a journey into the world of ancient and traditional sounds bound in modern modal compositions. A variety of traditional musical instruments, rarely heard, create the special timbre of the project.
The musicians of "do-nawā" are playing traditional music from the orient and central asia. The warm sounds of the harp combined with plucked and bowed musical instruments, mostly of ancient origin takes the listener to places far away.
In January 2014 Markus founded the worldmusic Project "Mala Isbuschka". The band plays traditional music from the middle east, eastern europe and central asia. Additionally they add some of Markus´ own compositions to the program.
"Sharqstan" - translated "land in the east" is an internationally lined up trio, that performs mainly music of Syria, Afghanistan,
Iran, Turkey and the kurdish culture. The three musicians got to know each other in Frankfurt and founded Sharqstan in summer 2017.
